Sewer of Southbay is the ninth scenario in The Rise of Wesnoth campaign.
Background
The sewer of Southbay had been created from an underground river. After the Wesfolk War, the twin wizards Daellyn the Red and Tinry the Red were banished into the sewers with all of their followers.[1]
The Green Isle was invaded by the orcs, forcing the Kingdoms of Stormvale and Clearwater to evacuate their populaces.[2][3] Haldric led a group of refugees, including many Wesfolk, to Clearwater Port, and was able to board a ship with his men. At the advice of Lady Jessene,[3] rather than traveling directly to Southbay, he sailed to Fallen Lich Point to obtain the Book of Fire and Darkness, then hurried his men down into the sewer of Southbay.[4]

Once inside the sewer, Haldric began to warn his men of rumours regarding the twin wizards, only to have his sentence finished by Tinry. His brother, Daellyn, detected the Ruby of Fire, and the two conspired to steal it, causing Jessene to worry about the way in which multiple entities had been able to sense the ruby. The wizards sent a variety of forces against Haldric, but were not successful in preventing Haldric from escaping the sewer.[1]
