Jevyan had a familiar which accompanied him in battle, for instance when Jevyan visited the siege of Southbay.[1] Jevyan sent his familiar to spy on the Eldaric in order to be able to find the Ruby of Fire.[2][3][4] The familiar returned to Jevyan before arriving at the shoreline where the remaining refugee ships waited at sea.[5] Finally, the familiar engaged in the final battle with the humans, but was killed, much to Jevyan's fury.[6]
