Wesnoth 1.11.7: Development Release
Sunday, November 17 2013
The seventh release of the 1.11.x development series, Wesnoth 1.11.7, has been released. Have a look at the forum thread listing some of the most important changes featured in this version. As with previous releases, we also offer two versions of the changelog: a trimmed-down players changelog including only changes relevant or noticeable to most players, and a (relatively) more complete full changelog with more detailed contents.
The source code, Windows, and Mac OS X packages are already available on the downloads page. You may find packages for other platforms there as well as they become available.
Keep in mind that this is a development release likely to include a few new bugs in addition to the features and improvements mentioned in the release notes. If you find issues, make sure to report them to us so they can be fixed for future releases.

Wesnoth.org Site Migration Complete
Monday, October 14 2013
The scheduled site migration is mostly complete now. DNS propagation may take some time, so users might be directed to the older read-only wiki instance or to the disabled forums in the meantime. For those who absolutely need immediate access to the new server (you will know whether it is the old server or not if you can see the forums index), they can add the following line to their hosts file to override network name resolution as a temporary measure:
144.76.5.6 wesnoth.org www.wesnoth.org wiki.wesnoth.org forums.wesnoth.org server.wesnoth.org
The hosts file is on /etc/hosts
for Linux, OS X, and other Unix systems, and %SytemRoot%\system32\drivers\etc
for Windows.
A global announcement post is now available in the forums.
Scheduled Wesnoth.org Site Migration Downtime
Friday, October 11 2013
As the next and final step in migrating Wesnoth.org's infrastructure to the new host, the forums, wiki, and primary multiplayer server will be taken down for an extended migration and maintenance downtime on Monday, October 14th 2013, at 17:00 UTC.
You can read the complete announcement in the forums.
Add-ons Server Migration Completed
Tuesday, October 1 2013
The add-ons server has been migrated to a new host. DNS propagation may take some time, so users might be directed to a read-only instance on the previous host in the meantime. Please note that only clients connecting to the server using the default add-ons.wesnoth.org host name (and singular and hyphen-less variations thereof) will be able to connect to the correct host.
Additionally, the add-ons web interface, the developers documentation, and part of our file hosting infrastructure have been migrated as well.

Wesnoth 1.11.6: Development Release
Saturday, August 24 2013
Wesnoth 1.11.5 has been released. This is the fifth release of the 1.11.x development series. It includes huge, groundbreaking changes. Please have a look at this forum thread to get a rough idea about those big changes. We offer two versions of the changelog: a rather nice to read players changelog that only includes changes every player will probably notice and the (rather) complete changelog with (almost) all the details, which is likely to cause a serious headache...
At the moment only the Windows package is ready. You can find it on the download page. Once the others are done you can find them on the download page, too. Please keep in mind that it is a development release which might include quite many bugs. If you find one, please report it to help us fix it in following releases.
Wesnoth 1.10.7: Maintenance Release
Saturday, August 24 2013
Wesnoth 1.10.7 has been released. This is a bugfix release for the stable 1.10 series. For information about further changes in this release, please visit this forum thread.
We offer two versions of changelogs: a rather nice to read players changelog that only includes changes every player will probably notice (and often feels empty because devs tend to forget to add their stuff there) and the (rather) complete changelog with (almost) all the details, which might make your head spin due to the technical terms used every now and then...
At the moment the Windows and OpenPandora packages are ready. You can find them on the download page. Once the others are done you can find them on the download page, too. If you find a bug, please report it to help us fix them in following releases.
