Thegwyn was a fearless and loyal heavy infantryman[a] and member of Stormvale's army, personally assigned to King Eldaric's protection. When Stormvale's north keep was attacked by a group of orcs led by Tan-Rarbag, Eldaric assigned Tromas, along with Thegwyn and Galdred, to hold the northern pass, delaying the orcs' assault sufficiently for Prince Haldric and Stormvale's refugees to escape the valley via the southern pass.
