The game server runs on TCP port 15000 by default.

Connecting on port 14998 gives the current stable version. Connecting on port 14999 gives the previous stable version. Connecting on port 15000 gives the current development version.
To connect to a specific port choose "Connect to Server" in the multi-player options list and enter "server.wesnoth.org:#####" where the number signs are the port number.
