Ok, about standing direction
that's completely different from animations, and I have no idea how hard it will be, I'll have a look I think we should keep the "auto mirroring" feature between eastern and western directions, though...
as for animation, I find your lack of imagination.... dirsturbing :)
[attack_animation] filter on defender's weapon, standard unit filter on defender standard unit filter on attacker (filter on quantity of damage taken for example) filter on attacker's terrain filter on defender's terrain filter on turn number filter on x/y location ....
I can filter on anything, an UMC might want to do weird stuff...
same thing for other animations defending and death animations could have more or less the same criterias,
and if I have it my way, leading, standing (and maybe also standing) will become animations
so go for it :)
