Konrad Campaign

Scenario 1 - Asheviere decides to go after the Elves, and in doing so, Orcs attack Konrad and Delfador's home. Konrad and Delfador are forced to flee, and want to get to the isle of Anduin, where they think they will find safe haven.

Scenario 2 - Konrad and Delfador arrive at Blackwater Port, looking for a ship to Anduin. However the port area is being attacked by Orcs. A knight is here who offers the assistance of horsemen. Once they help defeat or resist the orcs, the knight provides a ship which will take them to Anduin.

Scenario 3 - Konrad and Delfador arrive at Anduin. They find the island ravaged with Orcs. After defeating the Orcs, they meet an old friend of Delfador's, who offers them the assistance of mages. They are then told of the plight of the mermen at the nearby Bay of Pearls. Wanting to fight back at Asheviere somehow, they decide to try to rescue the mermen.

Scenario 4 - Arriving at the Bay of Pearls, Konrad must free the mermen and defeat their captors. Delfador leaves to distract the orcs elsewhere. After the battle, Delfador returns and says he must leave to go to an elven council. He tells Konrad that the city of Elensefar has been attacked and that Konrad is charged with the duty of helping defend or recapture it.

Scenario 5A - If Konrad defeats the land orcs in scenario 4, the party travels by land to Elensefar. However, when Konrad meets the undead for the first time, they block his way and he must defeat them.

Scenario 5B - If Konrad defeats the sea orcs, the party takes a ship to Elensfar. They are shipwrecked, and the mermen rescue Konrad to a nearby island. On the island Konrad meets the undead for the first time and must hold them off until the mermen rescue his men and the ship. He also meets human bandits, who aid him in resisting the undead. A white mage Moremirmu is found hiding from the undead in a temple and he joins the party in defeating the undead. After the undead are defeated, he leaves, but says that he may return to help them fight undead later (Scenario 9)

Scenario 6 - The city of Elensefar has already fallen, and the Orcs have made an alliance with the undead. Konrad must recapture the city and defeat his enemies. Delfador returns after the city is recaptured, and he brings with him Kalenz, of the mysterious Northern Elves. Delfador tells Konrad of the Sceptre of Fire for the first time: how it is hidden in the lost caverns of Knalga, and how if he obtains it, he will become king. The party sets off on their quest for the Sceptre.

Scenario 7 - Konrad and his party are stopped by Orcs at a crossroads. Elves come from the hills to warn of Orcish ambushes. Konrad must defeat the Orcs.

However an Orc escapes to warn Asheviere of their plan to take the Sceptre. She sends her adopted daughter, the princess Li'sar, to stop them.

Scenario 8 - The party is challenged by Li'sar. Negotiations fail. A battle ensues; after subduing Li'sar, her life is spared and she advises the party to travel the north road - however this is a trap, Li'sar knows the north road is very dangerous.

Scenario 9 - The party travels along the north road, but is surrounded by many undead forces. They must hold the undead off for two days to survive. Moremirmu, the white mage rescued in scenario 5A, has heard of Li'sar's treachery and returns as a mage of light with some white mages to recsue them from the undead. After the undead retreat, Moremirmu and his mages leave.

Scenario 10 - Travelling north, the party comes to Gryphon mountain. Realizing that having access to gryphons may be useful later, they decide to take a detour to steal some gryphon eggs. Some of Asheviere's forces also oppose them here, and the objective is to defeat these forces.. If someone from Konrad's army kills the mother gryphon, the player can recruit gryphons. However, if someone from Ashievere's army kills the mother, the player cannot recruit gryphons.

Scenario 11 - The party comes to the ford of Abez. Crossing over will lead them out of Wesnoth, to the wilderness of the north, toward Knalga. They must make haste to cross over, because winter is approaching, and they don't want to be trapped in Wesnoth during winter. Delfador tells the story of the battle at Abez, where the king was betrayed, but discussion is interrupted by the border fortresses on either side of the river - to the north are northern orcs (who are not allied with Ashievere), and to the south is Li'sar, who is chasing them. In this scenario, Li'sar cannot be killed because she is surrounded by royal guards. The party must cross the river. During the battle, sea serpents come to aid the Orcs. After Konrad crosses the river, Li'sar cannot follow easily because the serpents block her.

Scenario 12 - The party decides they must secure some land to rest for the winter, but to secure the land they must fight off some northern orcs.

Scenario 13 - Continuing northward, the party comes to a mountain pass that is guarded by wizards, who have put protective spells on the area. They must push on through, and they meet Dwarves, who aid them in their quest.

Scenario 14 - Finding the ancient and broken land of the Dwarves, the party must find an entrance into the tunnels of Knalga, and get past the Orcs who guard it. The main entrance has been caved in, so they learn that they must go through the side entrance.

Scenario 15 - After finding their way into the tunnels of Knalga, Konrad, Delfador, and Kalenz must get past creatures lurking around, and find the home of the Dwarves. After being dubious of the party's intent, the Dwarves eventually agree to help the party find the Sceptre of Fire.

Scenario 16 - The party enters the Dwarvish Caverns, and must fight the orcs, as well as encounter Lionel, a general who was sent on an earlier mission to retrieve the Sceptre. He is now undead and seeks revenge, but when he is returned to his grave he is grateful at being defeated by worthy foes instead of the orcs.

Scenario 17 - Li'sar has caught up with Konrad, and confronts him in the caves. They are ambushed by Orcs, and Li'sar decides to join Konrad until they reach the surface.

Scenario 18 - Konrad or Li'sar finds the Sceptre of Fire, and the party exits the caverns.

Scenario 19 - Exiting the caverns of Knalga, Li'sar decides not to attempt to kill Konrad. The party must defeat the Orcs to the north, or a Death Knight to the south.

Scenario 20A - If Konrad defeats the Orcs, the party must defeat more Orcs in snow. There is a hidden flaming sword that only Konrad can pick up.

Scenario 20B - If Konrad defeats the Death Knight, he meets many more in the Swamp of Dread. The party must defeat 4 Death Knights and a Lich. The party loots 100 gold for each leader it kills.

Scenario 21 - Konrad must go to the Elvish Lands for the Elven Council. A battle between Orcs in the north and humans in the south makes it dangerous. Konrad must reach the Elven Forest and resist until end of turns.

Scenario 22 - At the Elven Council the Elvish Lady Parandra and Kalenz agree that Li'sar should be the ruler of Wesnoth, while Delfador disagrees. Parandra speaks of a secret reason why Konrad is not suited to the throne. The elves tell Konrad to follow Li'sar on her mission to defeat Ashievere.

Scenario 23 - Konrad must defeat mages who block his path. He discovers that the mages have implanted a spell in their Cockatrices which turns his men to stone, as it has done to Orcs in the past. The spell can be broken by breaking the mirror in which the spell is stored, but when it is broken the victims of the spell are freed, and the party must defeat the orcs they have revived.

Scenario 24 - Konrad is blocked by Ashievere's border guard.

Scenario 25 - Konrad meets a clan of horsemen and asks them to join him in fighting Ashievere. They insist that he first prove himself worthy by defeating them in battle.

Scenario 26 - Delfador tells Konrad the secret that he has been hiding - that Konrad is not really a member of the royal family. The party defeats Ashievere and Li'sar ascends the throne.
