"Frankenpacks" are images containing pieces of wesnoth sprites. These pieces can be copied and pasted together to quickly make new custom sprites. The Wesnoth community calls this process "frankensteining", and it's a common way to begin spriting, requiring little previous art experience. Frankensteined sprites will not be accepted into mainline, but are perfectly acceptable for use in UMC.
