Questions to answer:
- What difficulty levels and what version of Wesnoth have you played the scenario on?
- How difficult did you find the scenario? (1-10)
- How clear did you find the scenario objectives?
- How clear and interesting did you find the dialog and storyline of the scenario?
- What were your major challenges in meeting the objectives of the scenario?
- How fun do you think the scenario is? (1-10)
- What, if any, are changes you would have made to the scenario to make it more fun?
- Was there any event that caused you to lose the game and forced you to reload or restart the scenario?
- If you know a bit of the Wesnoth Markup Language - do you think that the WML of this scenario is clear and well commented? If not which part would you like to be documented better?
Unfortunately, I don't know WML, so I can't answer this question.
Scenario 1
- Beginner difficulty, on 1.9.2.
- Though I'm a beginner at Wesnoth, I'd give this a 1-2, as it was quite easy for me to win this.
- The objectives were quite clear.
- The dialog was clear and definitely added to the story.
- I didn't really have any major challenges
- I would rate this around a 5-6 -- it was pretty fun, and given my novice-ness at the game, it was nice to win :-).
- If it would be possible to create some sort of reward (actually, I realized this in the gold bonus, but it could have been more clear) for not creating as many units as I did.
- Nope.
Scenario 2
- Beginner difficulty, on 1.9.2.
- Though I'm a beginner at Wesnoth, I'd give this a 1-2, as it was quite easy for me to win this.
- It told me I had 9 turns to complete the task, but it also told me I had 40 turns. I found this confusing and wasn't sure which.
- I liked how this scenario was broken up into three parts, and that made the story clear and easy-to-follow.
- I didn't really have any major challenges.
- I would rate this at a 6.
- I can't think of anything at the moment.
- n/a
Scenario 3
- Beginner difficulty, on 1.9.2.
- 2 -- slightly harder than before, but still quite easyx
- It told me I had 9 turns to complete the task, but it also told me I had 40 turns. I found this confusing and wasn't sure which.
- I liked how this scenario was broken up into three parts, and that made the story clear and easy-to-follow.
- I didn't really have any major challenges.
- I would rate this at a 6.
- I can't think of anything at the moment.
- Nope.
?
Scenario 4
- Beginner difficulty, on 1.9.2.
- 4 -- it was harder than the previous ones. I like that it's slowly getting harder.
- The objectives were very clear.
- There was not much dialog, but what was there was good, and the storyline was interesting.
- I didn't protect my main characters well enough.
- I would rate this at a 7 -- this one was harder than the others, but more rewarding.
- I can't think of anything at the moment.
- Yes -- I didn't protect my main characters well enough. I loaded from an autosave and played with the knowledge that I would have to protect them better, and won
Scenario 5
- Beginner difficulty, on 1.9.2.
- 5
- In the beginning, the objectives were quite clear, but once I killed the human and undead leaders, they said "an evil force is still present" -- I'm not sure what to do.
- I liked the dialog. I did notice one grammar thing though: in the beginning, when talking about the Elvish Fighters, it says this: "They have both a sword and a bow and are deadly with both". The first both is unnecessary, and repetitive. I thought the choice between allying and being enemies was interesting. Losing the Elvish army I had initially invested in was quite discouraging, but since I lost anyway, I went back and redid it. (I then did it again to win allying with the humans).
- I didn't protect my main characters well enough.
- I would rate this at a 8 -- it was harder, but more rewarding, and the story seemed richer.
- After killing the human and first undead leaders, it could have been more clear as to what to do next.
- Yes -- I didn't protect my main characters well enough. I loaded from autosave and chose to side with the elves instead of humans, and given my investment in elf fighters, this worked out much better.
Branch 1
Scenario 6
- Beginner difficulty, on 1.9.2.
- 7-8 -- see #5
- The objectives were clear, but it told me that Urza Afalas would lead the way, which he didn't -- I had to move him myself.
- I thought the dialog was interesting.
- This was very hard. It took me a while to realize that I had to go along the very left of the map.
- The difficulty made this not as fun, probably 4-5.
- I think if Urza Afalas led me, or if it had some hint that I should have gone on the left side -- I went quite a few times on the right side.
- I was killed, quite a few times, by the elves. I finally realized that if I sticked to the very very left, they wouldn't attack me.
Scenario 7
- Beginner difficulty, on 1.9.2.
- 3
- This was a clear and interesting objective.
- I don't think the conclusions to which they came (I'll stay here, you go there) were the most logical, but
- Since this scenario didn't really have an objective, there weren't really any challenges.
- This was a fun relief - 6.
- Saying "You have emerged victorious!" at the end of the scenario isn't really true :-).
- Nope
Scenario 8
- Beginner difficulty, on 1.9.2.
- I would rate this at a 6-8 -- but, it depends on how well one does at the previous of course. I was able to hold out for 10 turns.
- The objective was clear.
- I think the dialog was interesting.
- This level was quite difficult, and I wasn't really sure how to do this.
- Given that it as quite discouraging, a 4.
- It could be a little bit easier.
- Yes, I lost the game several times.
Branch 2
Scenario 6
- Beginner difficulty, on 1.9.2.
- 2 -- much easier.
- The objective was clear
- The dialog was interesting.
- No
- I don't think this level was that fun, maybe a 4-5
- I don't really think this level was necessary
- n/a
Scenario 7
- Beginner difficulty, on 1.9.2.
- 8 -- I struggled quite a bit with this level.
- The objective was clear.
- The story was quite interesting, and I certainly didn't expect it.
- I didn't play well enough -- I had no idea how to win, and eventually I tried going in with my main characters, but that didn't work either. The final time I tried, I was more careful about the gold, so I could pay the trolls and win.
- This level was quite discouraging, so I'd give this a 2-3, especially given how long it took me..
- This level could have been not quite as hard.
- After failing initially, I tried going in with my main characters, but that didn't work.
Scenario 8
- Beginner difficulty, on 1.9.2.
- 2 -- this level was quite easy.
- The objective was clear.
- There wasn't very much dialog.
- No
- This was a 5 -- it wasn't terribly fun, but it wasn't discouraging, and a nice relief.
- Nothing that I can think of
- n/a
Scenario 9
- Beginner difficulty, on 1.9.2.
- 2
- The objective was very clear.
- The dialog and plot were interesting.
- They didn't seem at all interested in harming the person I was supposed to be protecting, which made this level very easy.
- This was also about 6-7 -- short, easy, quick and a nice finish.
- Maybe a tad harder.
- n/a
