In the scenario "Get the Gold" it is possible to recruit elvish lvl2 archers (rangers). Recruit 4 of these to create a takedown task force. Hide these using their ambush ability directly west to the enemy king and evade stray units. Maintain defensive line on the northern fronts and shield your southern ally with gliders+fighters as outlined in the other strategic tips. After the king has recruited for all his money there is a window of 1-2 turns to assassinate in his keep or hit from behind, leading to victory.
