How to prepare yourself to be successful against any faction
Play the Enemy:
If you have trouble defeating a specific faction, practice versus the AI as that faction. If you can play the faction successfully and know the strategies well, then you can often defeat it.
Know your Enemy:
Read the how to play page for the other faction. If you know what your enemy will recruit, you can counter it.
Random Faction:
Become good with all the factions. If using fog or shroud, random faction gives your opponent a disadvantage as he doesn't know what to recruit.
