Saurians are small, slender, and lizard-like creatures, Saurians are much smaller than their Drake allies. Standing at about __ and weighing nearly __, Saurians warriors are light and nimble enough to slip through enemy lines, able to target the weak and the injured. These creatures have a very unique skin, which is nearly impossible to pierce, however, their very weak when it comes to other methods of attacks, such as blades or impact. Although they can hardly resist attacks other than pierce, their slender figures allow them to dodge most attacks, along with the fact that they live in many different areas.

Saurians are not magical creatures despite what some believe. Due to their cold-blooded bodies, extreme temperature changes can be hazardous to their health. Although some Saurians prefer to become warriors, better known as skirmishers, others decide to delve into magic. Opposite of the Drakes, they use cold magic, and even learning how to heal to a point. Saurians can learn to control their magic very well, proving them to be useful allies with the Drakes.

Society

Saurians are very mysterious creatures, that tend to live in dark and damp areas, such as swamps. They are not as warlike as their Drake allies, though their usually nasty creatures, that tend to attack if they feel it gives them gain. Saurians use a different type of ranking system for their communities, with the leader being a chief. The chief status is gained by skill, determination, and reputation. The chief rules over a single tribe, able to tell what his/her's members do.

Saurians reproduce asexually, by budding. The budding process begins if a Saurian has eaten the Marduiak herb, their health is well, and they are at a certain point of a maturity. The process begins by their back becoming very itchy, with small bumps forming in that area over the next few days. Then, after some time passes, the bumps form into a large growth on the Saurian, which eventually grows even larger, until it covers about a third of the Saurian's back. Inside this growth, a baby Saurian is formed, and once it becomes developed enough, the baby "hatches" out of the growth. Budding Saurians are usually very weak, and move slowly, so they are kept hidden from enemies until their offspring has hatched. The offspring are taught how to fight from birth. Once some higher Saurian soothslayers and oracles evaluate the youngster to see if it has magical possibility, it is sent on the correct path.

Geography

Saurians tend to live in many different areas. They're attracted by swamp the most. Most Saurians live in swamps, hills, and caves. However, some move to forests and mountains, though usually for good reason. They usually remain hidden from other creatures that live in the area, only showing themselves when necessary. Their origin is unknown, though some believe that it was a mage's experimentation on a lizard that went wrong, thus creating a lizard-like creature that has human characteristics.
