Version 0.12 [October 15, 2005]

Download CampGen Release 0.12 beta
This release adds the long awaited support for custom units, terrains and items.

Please report any bugs you find either directly here (it's a wiki page), or here: https://savannah.nongnu.org/bugs/?func=additem&group=campgen

Changes from 0.11 beta:

  • Import custom units.
  • Import custom terrains.
  • Import custom items.
  • Allow now also reading in WML files encoded in latin1 (they get converted to utf8 on saving though).
  • Time editor can now import default time sets, and times from other scenarios.
  • Fixed bugs in the binary WML decoder and the level selector.

Version 0.11 [October 9, 2005]

Download CampGen Release 0.11 beta
This is only a bug fix release. I didn't really get around to working a lot on it, but better to do a release including the CVS changes since last week, than no release.

Please report any bugs you find either directly here (it's a wiki page), or here: https://savannah.nongnu.org/bugs/?func=additem&group=campgen

Changes from 0.10 beta:

  • ILikeProgramming fixed windows default path.</li>
  • Scenario selector in the endlevel dialog now should work.</li>
  • Python version < 2.3 should exit with an error at startup, instead of throwing an exception later.</li>
  • You can now move events anywhere in the event tree, so if you want to move something inside an [if], don't need to delete and re-create anymore, just "whinch" it into place with the up/down buttons. Any suggestions for a more intuitive GUI? Maybe add left/right buttons instead?

Version 0.10 [October 2, 2005]

Download CampGen Release 0.10 beta
No 1.0 version yet as planned, instead 0.10 beta. There's still some bugs, and some function aren't implemented yet. But it should be possible to create simple campaigns already.

Please report any bugs you find either directly here (it's a wiki page), or here: https://savannah.nongnu.org/bugs/?func=additem&group=campgen

Changes from 0.9 beta:

  • Saving works again.</li>
  • lwa created an OSX package script.</li>
  • Fixed some bugs.

Version 0.9 [September 26, 2005]

CampGen Release 0.9 beta
This is beta quality. I.e. I did test it a bit in linux and at least started it up in windows. It appears to create campaigns which then can be published to the campaign server and be played in Wesnoth. Please report any bugs you find, either directly here (it's a wiki page), or here: https://savannah.nongnu.org/bugs/?func=additem&group=campgen

Changes from 0.8 alpha:

  • Time editor. Quite basic for now.</li>
  • Can now directly edit actual map data. This only makes sense if the official editor won't boot - lwa hinted that this may happen under OSX.
  • Quite some bugs fixed. It got really late for sure :P

Version 0.8 [September 18, 2005]

CampGen Release 0.8 alpha
This is still only alpha quality, i.e. many new features but no testing at all yet. Downloads to appear shortly (CVS already works).

Changes from 0.7 alpha:

  • New parser (again). No external editing is possible anymore again in version 0.8.
  • You can now add [removeitem] and [capture_village] actions to the map.
  • Support for moveto events, including placement on the map, and unit filters.
  • You can now download campaigns from the campaign server.
  • Support for messages.
  • Support for the [endlevel] tag.
  • Placed units can now have a side other than 1, and some other attributes.
  • There's now an advanced event editor with support for filters, variables and conditionals - the UI is likely to get simplified yet though, right now it's more confusing than editing the WML directly :)
  • Difficulty levels can now edit also the right-aligned text.
  • New Save As and Delete commands in the file menu.
  • Support for victory_when_enemies_defeated setting.

Version 0.7

CampGen Release 0.7 alpha
This was never released since it couldn't save any files due to the complicated external-changes-preserving parser introduced for 0.6, and I worked on 0.8 features already before fixing it.

Changes from 0.6 alpha:

  • You can place [item], [unit] and [terrain] actions on a map now.
  • You can upload campaigns to the campaign server now.
  • You can modify objectives now.

Version 0.6 [September 4, 2005]

CampGen Release 0.6 alpha

This release still has no support for objectives and events, so the only campaigns you can make so far is where you have to kill all enemy leaders. And it still is in alpha state, i.e. not really much tested at all and with lots of bugs yet.

Changes from 0.5:

  • If you manually add [event] sections to a campaign saved by CampGen, it now can get loaded back again, and saved again, without stripping those sections.
  • Story Editor
  • Multi document interface, and tab navigation. I.e. you can now edit multiple campaigns add once (I'm sure this will be useful :)).
  • Some bugs fixed.
  • Some user interface improvements, like a welcome screen

Version 0.5 0.4 0.3 0.2

Those were not released and not in CVS yet.

Version 0.1

This was scott's version, written in IDL.
